30 Halloween Potluck Recipes You'll Actually Want to Eat
Halloween potluck recipes don't always need to be spooky themed, you can bring an easy party snack with fall flavors that is totally delicious and will be a huge hit at the gathering.

Honestly, I've never been a huge fan of food that looks like something else. I prefer my dishes be delicious over cute any day.
When I choose a potluck party recipe to bring to a special event, I consider the seasonal flavors, the holiday colors, and then save the festive accents for the party platter or plates!
So while there are plenty of Halloween recipe lists that focus on spooky, scary, or creepy looking food, my approach to a Halloween potluck party would be to focus on pumpkin, apple, or orange colored foods that taste amazing and that your friends actually want to eat!
Here are a few of my favorite Halloween party recipes with notes on how you can dress them up for some spooky fun without sacrificing taste.
Halloween Decorations for Potluck Recipes

You don't need to choose spooky-looking food to have a fun and festive Halloween potluck party platter.
Arm yourself with a few of these easy party supplies and no matter which recipe you choose to make, you'll arrive at the event with a dish that is perfectly seasonal and fun.
- Cupcake Picks: Buy an assortment of cute Halloween cupcake toppers. You can poke them into all sorts of dishes from sweet to savory to add a little holiday flair. These cocktail party picks with Halloween wooden toppers would be cute, too.
- Festive Platters: Serve your snacks on a BOO shaped charcuterie board, a pumpkin-shaped board, or my personal favorite -- add a Halloween mini to a Nora Fleming platter.
- Festive Tableware: Serve your dish on a plain white or black dish and then bring along festive paper napkins and party plates. I think this adorable orange and pink Halloween table set is perfect.
- Platter Accents: Order a set of plastic spiders and sprinkle them around the edges of your platter. Don't place them directly on the food itself but use them to add a creepy ambiance to your dish. Then place a faux spider web underneath your platter.
- Just Add Sprinkles: If you choose a sweet dish, just add a few Halloween sprinkles on top or use candy corn as garnish. Candy sprinkle eye balls can be used to make absolutely anything a little bit more spooky!
- Place Card & A Funny Name: Order a pack of festive pumpkin place cards and then use a clever name for your dish that gives it a spooky feel.
