Canned Tomatoes, Chicken Broth, Carrot, Celery, Onion, Garlic, Cream & Butter
Saute in butter till soft. Add flour to make a simple roux. Drizzle in the chicken stock.
Canned tomatoes and a few key dry seasonings give extra flavor. Simmer and then add cream to finish.
An immersion blender isn't essential but it makes for a nice smooth soup you can blend right in the pot. No immersion blender? No problem. Simply transfer the soup to a blender in batches and puree.
