Blueberry Vinaigrette
Easy blueberry vinaigrette is a bright and fruity salad dressing that starts with a jar of blueberry preserves and uses white wine vinegar for a peppery bite. You'll find all kinds of ways to use this to liven up your next salad.

During salad season, I'm always on the hunt for new ways to make our dinner salads a little more interesting.
When I added grilled peaches and tender chicken to a bed of romaine lettuce, I knew this blueberry vinaigrette would pair perfectly with the crumbled goat cheese and sunflower seeds sprinkled over the top.
The whole family loved this and went back for an extra drizzle of dressing because they loved that dark purple sweetness coating their salads!

Easy Measuring Tips
I keep a 4-cup measuring cup in my cabinet, it is the perfect size for making this quick dressing.
Measure the canola oil and white wine vinegar first.
Then spoon in the blueberry preserves and sprinkle in the salt and pepper.

Blend the Dressing
I also keep an immersion blender on hand. It is one of my Top 20 favorite kitchen tools.
You can pop it right into the measuring cup and blend the dressing on a medium-low speed. It worked perfectly!

If you don't have an immersion blender, you can make the entire recipe inside of a blender instead.
Make Ahead Tips
You can make the blueberry vinaigrette and let it chill in the fridge for up to one week.
I wouldn't recommend freezing it, it will lose its texture when it thaws. Better to just enjoy it right now!
Variations
- Strawberry Vinaigrette: Want to try a fresh strawberry version? Don't miss my fresh strawberry vinaigrette.
- Freezer Jams: If you have my cherry freezer jam or my blackberry freezer jam you could use them instead of the blueberry preserves.
- Savory Kick: For even more flavor, you could add minced shallots or a teaspoon of minced garlic.
Serving Suggestions

I made this blueberry vinaigrette to drizzle over my fresh peach salad with air fryer chicken breasts and crumbled goat cheese. It was amazing.
It would also add lots of flavor to my strawberry feta salad or a unique spin on this simple citrus salad.
If you're making my festive apple pear salad during the holiday season you could use this instead of my mustard vinaigrette.
