Ingredient Notes

Look how easy your shopping list will be:
- Fresh Peaches: You could substitute thawed frozen peaches in a pinch but they will not retain the same texture as a firm, fresh peach. They'll still taste, great though!
- Butter
- Brown Sugar
- Lemon
- Cinnamon
- Nutmeg
- Vanilla
- Kosher Salt
Prep the Peaches
Peel the fresh peaches, I just used a potato peeler and peeled it like an apple.
Then run your knife around the peach to form thick wedges and pull the fruit away from the pit.

Place the peach slices in a mixing bowl and sprinkle the lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and kosher salt over the top. Gently toss to coat.

Start the Sauce
Set a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Melt the butter and brown sugar together until it forms a thick sauce.

Cook the Peaches
Add the seasoned peaches to the skillet. Stir to coat in the sauce.
Reduce the heat to medium but keep the sauce bubbling.

Cook for 6 minutes or until the peaches are tender and the sauce has thickened.
Add the vanilla extract at the end and let it cook for just 30 seconds - 1 minute.
Make Ahead Tips
The fried peaches are best served warm from the skillet but you can peel and slice the peaches up to 8 hours in advance and keep them in an airtight container in the fridge.
Leftovers can also be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated in a skillet or microwave.
Variations
- Other Stone Fruits: You can try this method with sliced nectarines or plums for a fun twist.
- Bourbon or Rum: Add a splash of bourbon or rum for grown-up peaches.
- Crispy Topping: Add a sprinkle of toasted pecans or walnuts at the end for crunch.
