Some of my favorite party recipes are actually easy weeknight dinners in disguise.

I would absolutely serve these delicious peach glazed meatballs for any party, all year long. The sweet and spicy peach glaze pairs perfectly with savory frozen meatballs and a sprinkle of green onions.

However, when I made them recently, I served them as a busy weeknight dinner over bowls of rice with veggies on the side. It was a huge hit with my family and we had plenty of leftovers for my husband to take to work for lunch for a few days.

Why This is the Best Recipe

  • Crazy Easy Prep: Dump the meatballs into the crockpot, stir the sauce, and done!
  • Family-Friendly Flavor: The peach sauce is sweet and spicy, but not too spicy for the kids. My whole family loved it.
  • Easy Entertaining: Keep the meatballs warm in the Crockpot during a party, or tote the slowcooker to a potluck. They could be cooking on the counter at the office and be ready for a lunchtime celebration!

Ingredients

The ingredients to make peach glazed meatballs are on the kitchen counter.

This quick and easy appetizer just needs a few items and you're ready to go:

  • Frozen Meatballs: You can use any kind of frozen meatball you love but I recommend finding one that have a neutral flavor (as opposed to an Italian herb one.) I chose homestyle meatballs but turkey meatballs would be an excellent choice, too.
  • Peach Preserves
  • Chili Sauce
  • Worcestershire Sauce
  • Dried Onion Mix: I used a dried onion dip packet but dried onion soup mix would work great, too.
  • Green Onions: For garnish and a dash of freshness.

Add the Meatballs

Spray a Crockpot with cooking spray and just pour the meatballs in.

The frozen meatballs are sitting in the crockpot before any sauce is added.

Mix the Sauce

In a separate bowl, stir together the peach preserves, chili sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and onion mix until smooth.

The ingredients used to make the glaze are in a mixing bowl ready to be mixed.

Cooking Instructions

Pour the sauce over the meatballs and gently stir so the sauce coats everything.

Cook on LOW for 3 - 4 hours or until the meatballs are heated through and the sauce is bubbling.

The finished meatballs are in the crockpot with a serving spoon ready to serve.

Sprinkle the green onions over the top before serving.

Serving Suggestions

If you're serving the peach glazed meatballs as a party appetizer, simply leave them right in the Crockpot so they keep warm during your event.

Set out a serving spoon and cocktail picks with cocktail plates for your guests to eat them as a small bite.

I used these sweet and spicy meatballs as a quick and easy dinner this summer. I loved that it let me keep my oven off on a hot day!

I served the meatballs over bowls of scallion rice with a dollop of chili crisp on top for extra spice. They pair well with roasted green beans or broccoli and carrots.

DIY Meal Kit

Glazed peach meatballs make an excellent DIY meal kit. Simply prep ahead:

  1. Prep the Sauce: You can pre-mix the sauce and keep it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or even freeze it and tuck it in a bag with the meatballs so it is easy to grab later.
  2. Chop the Green Onions: Do not freeze the green onions but you can chop them in advance and keep them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
  3. Assemble & Serve: Then when dinnertime comes, just pop the meatball kit into the crockpot 3 - 4 hours in advance. You can prep my favorite jasmine rice in the Instant Pot and it cooks in just 3 minutes.

OR, You could absolutely cook the meatballs on a weekend afternoon and store them in the fridge for up to 5 days.

If you prep ahead the rice and veggies too, these make excellent meal prep lunch kits to take to work.

The storage dish is filled with the cooked meatballs and sauce.
