Instructions
Prep the Oreo Cookie Crust:
Add the mint Oreo cookies to a food processor and pulse them until they are broken into fine crumbs. You could also crush them by hand with a rolling pin if you place them in a plastic food storage bag.
Pour the cookie crumbs into a mixing bowl. Pour in the melted butter. Stir them together until all the cookie crumbs are moistened with butter.
Pour the coated cookie crumbs into a 9x13-inch baking pan and use your hands to gently press them into the crust. Chill for at least 15 minutes before adding the next layer.
Prepare the Shamrock Shake Layer:
Add the softened cream cheese to a mixing bowl and give it a quick stir with an electric hand mixer. Scrape the sides down. Add the powdered sugar and beat them together. Scrape the sides.
Add the peppermint extract and green food coloring and beat them in for 1 minute. Be sure your mixture is a very bright green, once you add the whipped topping the color will soften.
Add just half of the tub of whipped topping and fold it in. Save the other half for the pudding layer.
Spread the mint cream cheese over the prepared Oreo cookie crust and chill for at least 15 minutes.
Prepare the Chocolate Pudding Layer:
Add both pudding mixes to a large mixing bowl. Pour in the milk and beat them together for 30 seconds or until the powder has mostly dissolved into the milk. Add the whipped topping and beat them together for 2 minutes.
Spread the chocolate pudding over the mint cream cheese. Chill for two hours.
Decorate and Serve:
Frost the torte with the remaining tub of whipped topping. Garnish with maraschino cherries and festive sprinkles as desired.
