Ingredients
1bunch fresh asparagus
1tablespoonolive oil
Sprinkle of kosher salt and pepper
1/3cupshredded parmesan cheese
Instructions
Roasted Asparagus in the Oven:
Preheat the oven to 425°F. Set out a large baking sheet.
Rinse the asparagus in cold water and dry the spears with a clean kitchen towel so they don't steam in the oven. We want to give them nice crispy tips.
Holding each spear in your hands, bend the asparagus until the bottom edge snaps off. This removes the woody end of the spear. Discard that end and place the top section of the asparagus on the baking sheet.
Drizzle the olive oil over the asparagus on the pan and gently toss to coat. Spread the spears into an even layer and sprinkle them with salt and pepper.
Roast the asparagus for 12 minutes or until the tips begin to dry and crisp up. Sprinkle the parmesan cheese over the top and bake for 3 minutes more or until the cheese has melted. Serve warm.
How to Roast Asparagus in an Air Fryer:
If you prefer to use your air fryer instead of the oven, prepare the asparagus as directed. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F.
Line the asparagus up in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Roast for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with the cheese and roast for 2 - 3 minutes more until the cheese has melted. Serve warm.
