For the Crostini
1baguette
olive oil
OR you can substitute a container of store bought crostini rather than making them homemade
For the Fig and Goat Cheese Bites
1(10 oz) log of goat cheesesoftened
1(12 oz) jar of fig jam
1/3cuppistachioschopped
Instructions
Prep the Crostini
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Slice the bread into ½-inch slices. Cut at an angle for longer pieces or perfectly perpendicular for shorter ones.
Brush olive oil on BOTH sides of each slice of bread and lay them in a single layer on a cookie sheet.
Bake for 6 minutes and then flip each piece over. Bake for an additional 4 - 6 minutes or until the crostini are perfectly golden and crispy.
Assemble the Snack Board
Place the log of goat cheese on your snack board with a cheese spreader knife.
Spoon the fig jam into a small serving dish and place it on the board with a small jam spoon or spreader knife.
Place the chopped pistachios in another small dish with a small spoon.
Arrange the crostini toasts in a decorative pattern around the toppings.
Guests can spread the softened goat cheese on the crostini and spoon a dollop of fig jam over the top. Finish with a sprinkle of chopped pistachios.
