Ingredients
1(8 oz) slab Greek feta cheesepatted dry
2tbspolive oil
2tbsphoneyuse Mike's Hot Honey for a spicy baked feta or an orange blossom honey for a sweet baked feta
Freshly cracked black pepper
Fresh basil leaves
Toasted crostini or sliced baguettestore bought or homemade
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Pat the feta cheese slab dry with paper towels before adding it to a small broiler-safe baking dish. Drizzle the olive oil over the cheese.
Bake the feta for 8 - 10 minutes or until it has softened and is slightly springy to the touch.
Place the baking dish with the feta on the stovetop. Preheat your broiler while you drizzle the reserved honey over the top. Broil the feta with honey for 2 - 3 minutes or until it begins to brown and bubble on the top.
Season the baked feta with a generous amount of fresh cracked pepper and sprinkle fresh basil leaves over the top. Serve immediately with the toasted crostini or sliced baguette.
