Ingredients
1(16 oz) bag of pretzelssticks, squares, or twists
1/2cupcanola oil
Spicy Ranch Seasoning *Flavor Variations in Notes
3tbspdried ranch seasoning
2tspgarlic salt
1/4tspcayenne powder
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 200°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Pour the entire bag of pretzels into a gallon-size plastic zip top bag. Pour the canola oil over the pretzels. Add the seasonings blend of your choice (see NOTES below for variations), seal the bag, and gently shake until the pretzels are evenly coated with oil and seasoning.
Spread the pretzels into an even layer on the baking sheet. You can sprinkle a little more seasoning over the top if they don't look coated enough at this point.
Bake for 50 min, tossing the pretzels gently with a spatula every 15 minutes.
Let cool and then store in an airtight container up to 3 weeks.
Italian Herb: 2 tablespoons of Italian herb mix + 2 teaspoons garlic salt + 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (Consider using Olive Oil instead of Canola)
Honey Mustard: 1 tablespoon dried mustard + add 1 tbsp honey to the oil
Greek Herb: 2 tablespoons Greek herb mix + 2 teaspoons garlic salt
Hot Wasabi: 1 teaspoon wasabi powder + 1 teaspoon brown sugar + 1/8 teaspoon cayenne
Old Bay: 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning + add 2 tbsp melted butter to the oil *reduce the oil by 2 tbsp so they're not too greasy
