You can do it just before cooking or earlier in the day (or even the day before!) The chicken is ready when you are.
Sprinkle with a little pepper. Place the chicken bottoms up as it starts to cook.
To get both sides of the chicken that gorgeous golden brown, be sure to flip it over half way through!
