A little early Happy St. Patrick's Day to you. To get the celebrating started, it seems only right to share some good old Irish Favorites here on Tuesday Tunes. Growing up, the majority of my friends were nearly 100% Irish. I spent my share of summers celebrating at Milwaukee's Irish Fest listening to The Clancy Brothers. Several girls I went to school with performed in the famed Trinity Irish Dance troupe. Though I can't claim Irish heritage as my own, I claim it by association. But then, doesn't everybody on March 17th??
I have such fond affection for these songs by Tommy Makem and the Clancy Brothers. I tossed in one of Handyman Tim's favorites by the Dropkick Murphys just for good luck. I'm quite sure I'm missing some crucial Irish tunes, but I was at the mercy of the availability online.
In any case, enjoy your corned beef and cabbage or at the very least a good old Shamrock Shake tomorrow and dig up a little something green from your closet!
