Tuesday Tunes: Get well, Heather!

Last week my dear friend Heather underwent a major surgery that has been hanging over her head for longer than I've known her. After so many years of concern, she came through with flying colors and all her friends and family have been rejoicing with her and her husband Jeff over this wonderful news.

With just a bit more good luck, hopefully Heather will be traveling home for recovery as this post hits the airwaves. This week I felt it was only appropriate to share a get-well list of Heather's favorites. I can just hear the excited squeals coming from her direction as each song plays.

My original intent was to do some college party favorites, but the suggestions given to me by our friends proved to be a tad inappropriate for this fairly G-rated blog. I just couldn't find clean enough versions of "Baby Got Back" or "Come, baby, come". Feel free to hunt those down if you're itching to hear them now that I've mentioned it.

And, that last tune is not a mistake. Heather is THE biggest Bing Crosby fan I know. She is the only one I know who appreciates "White Christmas" in July as much as she does in December.

So, here's to you Heather! I'm beyond thrilled everything went so well. Sending my love and offering my prayers for a continued speedy recovery!

Squeals and tears. How did I get so lucky to have such a great group of friends. They day I decided to join Tri Delta has proven many, many times over to be one of the best decisions I have ever made. As each song played I couldn't help but think back on all the memories we've all created together: having so muchc fun dancing together, going to Badger games together, Mazatlan 98 and the Christmas movie marathon. I am so lucky to have you all in my life. I love you all.
    Love,
    Heather
