Easing up a bit on my photography tasks this year allows me to look for other new and cool projects to be involved in. I just got an email from Willette Photography about a FREE workshop she is offering for anyone interested in subscribing to her workshop email list. The workshop is titled "The Joy of Love" and runs from February 1 - 28.
Daily assignments and photo inspiration will be emailed to participants throughout the month. Willette offered a similar workshop for Christmas photos that I really wanted to participate in but lacked the funds and the time in late November/December. I'm so excited to have found this opportunity--a perfect break from the winter doldrums around here.
I can't vouch for the quality of the workshop since I've never taken one from her, but how can I pass up the chance to try one for free? I confess I love the subject matter as well. We packed up all our Christmas decorations yesterday and I'm setting my sights full on Valentine's Day crafts and activities for the Peanut to keep us from going stir crazy from cabin fever.
Willette specifically mentions on her site that you do NOT need a "fancy" camera, a simple point and shoot will work just fine for this class. Anyone interested in joining me? I'm sure you'll find some of my work popping up in my Project 2011 Flickr group, but would love to compare notes on the workshop if anyone else participates. Just let me know!
