Surprise delivery

Little did I know as I posted my last blog post that the pains I was feeling that morning were early contractions with Little Pea! I hit the "submit" button and headed off for my weekly doctor's visit completely unaware to the fact that I would not be coming home until 4 days later and with Little Pea in my arms as opposed to my belly!

It's been a shocking weekend, to say the least. But, I'm absolutely thrilled to share the news that she entered the world safely last Thursday afternoon and we are now happily settled in at home.

There went my plans for posting all sorts of helpful information for our Day in the Life Project that starts TODAY! Guess you'll just have to roll with the punches right along with me. I promise to be more organized next year.

Today is our first full day home from the hospital. I was tempted to use today as my project day but figured we have enough going on today as it is. Plus, today is not a "normal" day by any means, so I'm going to wait until tomorrow to start my project. I know none of this week's days will be "normal", but I guess it is our new normal I'll be capturing.

For the rest of you, I'll have the project post up and running shortly and I will do my best to post some Flickr instructions for those that need it in the next day or so as well. I hope you've got your cameras charged and ready and your day all picked out! Have fun with it this week, can't wait to see your photos.

She's absolutely gorgeous. I'd spend hours and hours just nibbling on those cheeks!

Congratulations, she is adorable!! Love the blue ribbon in the hat - goes great with the fishy onesie, and definitely plenty "girly" enough!
How is Peanut reacting to her? Excited? Motherly? Jealous? A little of everything?
