I'm pretty sure some days Handyman Tim wishes I was "some woman."
When I needed a pick-me-up this week, it wasn't my feet I was trying to accessorize. It was my camera:
I just turned my fancy dancy SLR into a crazy fisheye toy!
I've had my eye on a super wide-angle lens for ages. I had an eye-openening photo assignment earlier this week that made me realize I have no need for that lens. The only trouble is that I'm scheduled to go on a downtown photo walk in early October and none of my current lenses really fit the bill.
Rather than spend hundreds of dollars on a lens for just one day, I found a fisheye adapter for a lens I already have! For less than a price of shoes I now have an awesome new toy that makes me giddy with excitement:
I've wanted a fisheye camera since high school but I could never ever justify $650 for that lens. Are these pictures perfect? Nope. But I absolutely love them.
I can't wait to push this little toy to the limit. Bring on that photo walk!! Can't you just imagine what this is going to do to a skyline?! No? Just me then? Yeah, at least I can recognize how weird I am.
