By some stroke of luck, we were the first stop on Santa's route this year. He came a full 24+ hours early to bring the peanut her gifts before we leave for Grandma's house. What are the chances?!
All month long, the peanut has been saying she wanted Santa to bring her a Christmas tree. When she first said it to Santa when we had her photo taken with him at the mall, I thought she was being shy and just didn't understand the concept that Santa brings her things.
But then we had breakfast with Santa the other weekend and her request was exactly the same. Whenever anyone asks her what she wrote to Santa for, she proudly tells them "A Christmas tree!"
Since our tree has been up since the day after Thanksgiving, I am really not sure where this wish came from. Silly old me, Santa knows just what he's doing. Wouldn't you know that all wrapped up amongst her gifts from Jolly Old St. Nick was this little beauty:
She was thrilled. What a little piece of Christmas magic.
Take that Toys 'R Us.
