Oh the irony. Just a mere 7 days after I posted my tribute to my freezer, the poor thing finally surrendered to the great appliance warehouse in the sky. Thank goodness we had our 10 day challenge and ate up a good majority of what was in there just before it happened! Such timing!
As it is, I still had to run a stack of frozen pizzas and random treats and dinner containers into my kitchen freezer. The thing is stuffed to the gills now and I'll never find anything in there without 3 packages of broccoli jumping out at me.
So I'm researching new freezers for the first time ever. I guess they've made improvements on them in the last 30 years. They actually have alarms and warning bells and such to let you know if there is a temperature problem for your food! Fancy! But until I can cobble together the cash to pay for it, I'm going to attempt to make do with just my tiny kitchen freezer and see how "the other half lives" for a while.
I have an inkling it is going to feel very much like cooking with my hands tied together.
