Project 2011: 28 | 52

With the power outage we had earlier this week, we had nothing better to do with our very  long day than to play around with mommy's camera. It's been a while since I attempted an actual portrait of the Peanut. She had insisted on wearing the flower headband and was looking so cute, so we gave it a go.

I promised her a small glass of root beer if she'd cooperate with me and smile/look at the camera. Worked like a charm but I got tons of photos full of that fake smile. So I started up my bad comedy routine and finally made her giggle:

We escaped the heat and lack of power by going to Grandma's house for the night. She had a brand new froggy towel waiting for Little Pea. (The Peanut has a ducky one--sharing hasn't gone too well.)

And finally, our Uncle Tim's annual cherry delivery arrived this week. I'll have a longer post on that next week, but the Peanut was thrilled to be washing the cherries and even figured out how to use the pitter all by herself. She loved passing around the prepared fruit for sharing.

Ah...well pitted, young grasshopper. She will be a fine sous-chef!
