Project 2011: 12 | 52

We're heading into the last week of March, there are 12 weeks of Project 2011 under our belts. Not sure about the rest of you, but this is the first time all year I've really felt my project is coming together. When I look at the collection of images I've captured and selected for this set, I can finally see the passage of time and I'm enjoying challenging myself to photograph my girls from different angles.

This week the Peanut was far more forgiving of having the camera pointed her way. She actually asked me to take her picture a handful of times. I have some signature silly moments of my little girl piled under stuffed animals and others with her sitting in our dog's toy basket while watching tv. But the photo that won is this one of her with her "best dog" Gino. You might remember a similar pose from almost this same time last year. The Peanut simply loves this dog and he definitely returns the affection. I'm glad he took his chance at officially sneaking into the project.

I have some fantastic photos of Little Pea's eyes this week. I am continuing to play around with my post-processing in Lightroom and managed some awesome captures of her amazing blue eyes. (If there's any interest, you'll find them in my "Runner's Up" set on Flickr.) I'm happy I have those photos, but this photo wins the official spot in the project because I love that the focus is on her tiny little ears and wispy hair. When she is facing the camera, her eyes steal the show. It is nice to zero in on another sweet little feature.

I love that both girls are wearing green and white stripes for their portraits this week. I swear this was unintentional. The pictures were taken on completely different days.

And finally, the third picture for this week's set is this sweet moment caught between Little Pea and the Peanut. Several times this week the Peanut has soothed Little Pea from crying, made her laugh huge belly laughs, and entertained her while I needed some help. Little Pea just adores her big sister and the expression on her face here says it all to me.
