Even though Easter is a full week away, the Easter Bunny made his visit to our house this morning. Handyman Tim is busy with his spring project and will have to miss the real holiday weekend so we made things special for the family this morning while he could still enjoy it.
Once we finished our egg hunt and enjoyed a batch of my french toast with a few Peeps chasers, it was time for Tim to get on the road. The morning was filled with crazy fun and enough sugar-induced energy to require at least one time out. By the time the girls were down for their afternoon naps and with a house all to myself, I was in the mood to play.
Above is a photo of our table centerpiece from this morning--3 bunches of gorgeous tulips from Trader Joe's. (Highly recommend them for great flowers, I was so surprised!) I took a couple dozen photos of this vase this afternoon. I got to play around with my camera uninterrupted. I tried different lighting, angles, backgrounds, all with the most cooperative subject I've had in ages. Not having to try and catch their attention or hope for a smile was a wonderful and refreshing treat.
I'm not really sure where I'm going with any of this. All I know is that this photo makes me happy and I wanted to share it with you.
And for the other mommies out there, I hope you're making time to play every once in a while. We need it, too.
