Yesterday was a huge day for our family. After many weeks of wondering and guessing and what-if-ing, we finally got to meet Little Pea at the big ultrasound.
I know not everyone is on the "find out the gender of the baby ahead of time" bandwagon, but for Handyman Tim and myself, nothing compares to the quiet surprise of an early discovery. The gender of the baby is such awesome news, we appreciate being able to absorb it outside of the hustle and bustle and nerves of the actual delivery. Our little one may not actually arrive for another 20 weeks, but for us, our lives changed yesterday.
I'm very pleased to share the news that the Peanut will be gaining a Little Sister. She's been asking for a baby boy for the last month or so, but at the last minute had a change of heart and put in her final request for a sister. Wish granted, now we'll see how she feels about it in a few more months. . .
More than anything, I'm so excited to be looking towards two of the same kind. I know they're not guaranteed to be close, but I know it is an irreplaceable relationship we've just provided them with the opportunity to create.
I've been so distracted chasing my current toddler, I haven't had much time to really think about what is on the horizon. Now I can't stop picturing my two little peanuts together in a few more months and I can't wait.
And on a much lighter note, let the decorating begin!! So many girlie fabrics looming on the release calendar over at Fat Quarter Shop. I'm going to have to watch myself!
