Today is the last day of the year. Today I'll take my last photo for my first ever Project 365. I made it! I successfully documented this year with a photo every single day save for one infamous day in May.
(My favorite photo from 2010--the one I would have missed having altogether if it weren't for Project 365. I got into the habit of carrying my camera with me everywhere and would have missed this moment if it weren't in my purse during a surprise visit to the hospital to deliver Little Pea. For this single image alone I'll forever be grateful to the concept of this project and my supportive friends who came along for the ride in 2010.)
As I'm wrapping up my year and project, photographers all over the web are gearing up for a fresh project starting tomorrow for the new year. I'm so happy to have some of you joining me for my Project 2011 where we'll make a supportive spot for more flexible goals.
For those of you who have already signed up but also even more importantly, for those of you still considering it, I wanted to share this inspiring blog post from ClickinMoms. I've mentioned this awesome forum before. Shannon Joy, the author of the blog post, is every bit as supportive and encouraging as the intro suggests.
My favorite line from her piece, "Who's Up for a 365?" is:
"Life is too precious to let the days go by unnoticed."
I couldn't say it better myself. There is no better reason to join me at Project 2011.
Happy New Year to you all. I wish you all the happiest blessings in the coming months.
