Inspiration Challenge: March

5 | 52: Spring sprouts?!?

When I decided to do the monthly inspiration word challenges, I imagined a series of conceptual words that prompted some reflection on our lives in 2012. January and February easily leant themselves to their respective words: Fresh & Cherish.

March is a special month to me. This is the point in the year where it is easy to let go of a creative project you've started. New Year Resolutions are usually long past by now. This is the first big hump month in a year long project, in my opinion. So my word for March came as a somewhat obvious choice: Intentional.

Intentional is a word I chose to focus really hard on in the second half of 2011 and I'm carrying it over to this year. In the last few weeks I've lost my focus a bit and after some thought I realized it is because I've lost sight of my intentional purpose.

Having eggs for dinner because you are low and food and need to go to the grocery store? Claim that and officially name it Breakfast for Dinner night.

Have a clingy kid because they're battling some sort of bug? Accept it and declare an Official Pajama Party with movies.

Struggling with your photo project because you've missed a few days, weeks, a whole month? Officially change your rules and declare that you're doing a Project 150 rather than a 366.

See where I'm going with this? Taking ownership of your situation and acting intentionally is empowering. It just takes a little reframing of your point of view.

So for the month of March, focus on the word Intentional and capture an image that represents the intentional acts you're doing in your life. I can't wait to see your shares.

I love this idea of having an inspirational word,.....and intentional is brilliant. I am definitely doing this, starting with a little printable that I'm going to post. 🙂
