A little Friday eye candy

Camille over at Simplify is showcasing the pattern she created that I used for my two favorite quilts. My favorite part of her post is seeing the multiple samples of the same quilt in different fabrics. What a difference that selection can make!

Every time she features her work I'm left thinking I never use enough solid white in my projects. I'm making a mental note to change that trend in my next project (circa 2012 at this point?!)

For example, take a look at this Jelly Filled quilt in Verna:

I just love how that crisp white balances out the busy colorful patterns of Verna fabric.

I've been debating between Verna and Hunky Dory for my next quilt but I've both run out of time before Little Pea and still haven't finished my work in progress list so am stuck to my no new materials pledge. Guess I'm left drooling on the sidelines this round.

But if you're not bound to any such restriction, you'll be happy to know that Camille is running a special on her Jelly Filled and Pint-Sized patterns over on Etsy for the next few days. Full details over at her post.
