Day in the Life Project 2011: Upping the ante!

So if capturing priceless memories for your family isn't enough incentive to get you started on the Day in the Life Project, I'm going to add one more piece of fun. Let's have a photo contest!

May 31 will be the final deadline for posting your project. I know a few of you out there are nervous about sharing your photos so publicly, so I came up with an even better idea to make sure you are still included in the fun.

Right now I have my Peanut Blossom group for this project on Flickr. Once the deadline is up, I'm going to pick my top 5 favorite images that have been shared in my final project link-up post or in the shared Flickr group. I will post those 5 images (with your permission and credit, of course) here on the blog along with a poll and we're going to let the readers decide the final winner.

I have a $10 Shutterfly giftcard reserved for the final winner.

You do not need to submit your entire project. You can just share your top favorites to the group if you want to. There is no limit on how many you can share, it is all up to you how much or how little you share.

When looking for my top 5 favorite images, the number one factor I will be looking for is:

How does the image capture a true "everyday" moment in life in an interesting way?/What is the special meaning behind the photo?

You have a better shot at higher marks in this category if you leave a comment on your photo with an explanation of what it is. The captions really make the project in my opinion!

So are you in??

I am so not a "photographer" so I hope quality doesn't matter. 🙂 I love the idea of the iphone camera, so I may do that this year since I ALWAYS have it with me. To a fault, probably, but it's always with me. Thanks for doing this, Tiffany! You are truly inspirational.

If you noticed, I didn't include any technical requirements for my judging criteria. Quality matters but not in the way you're implying! I'm looking for the content more than the technical execution of it. That's also why I'm judging the top 5 and letting the readers pick from there. I want to give everyone a fair shot at this!

Yes, I am. I took pictures only with my iPhone on Tuesday. I hope they are not too blurred but I am not going to edit them.
Today I am using Nicky's point-and-shoot (my previous Casio), my iPhone and hopefully 'my baby' (the DLRS).
Nicky is participating taking some pictures. As you know, his point of view matters.
