Christmas quilt in progress, part 3

My quilt is back from the quilter's shop and I couldn't be happier with how it has turned out.

I chose a simple stipple pattern for the quilting and they selected a very neutral tannish brown color thread. It stands out on the lighter squares but blends right in on the chocolate brown portions.

It was worth every penny having this professionally quilted. There's just no way my little sewing machine (or my  nerves!) could have handled it. Now I just need to bind the edges and add my peppermint posie appliques.

I'm hoping to have this done by the weekend so we can break it in while watching a Christmas movie with the peanut.
