I guess there is one more thing I've made a priority this month other than photography--keeping up with book club! When I picked up this month's pick "The Help" I was really worried I wouldn't be able to get through the 500 page hefty book in time for our meeting.
I gave myself a good head start thinking I'd need as much time as possible to finish it but once I started, I was done within 2 days! 500 pages in 2 days while taking care of 2 kids?! A miracle for sure. I'm not sure if it was just rediscovering the joy of reading, spending mental power on something more adult than "Max and Ruby", or if the book was just really that good but I'm guessing it is a combination of all 3.
I do love historical fiction so the topic certainly didn't hurt but this is one of the more fascinating books I've read in a while. There was just enough suspense to keep me flipping pages and sacrificing some sleep at a time when sleep is the most precious commodity going!
Definitely 2 thumbs up.
Now next month's pick is a different story. . . Definitely slow going to start, I'll let you know in a few weeks how it pans out.

I'm glad you loved the Help! I really love The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo too (and the next two books as well). Hang in there and hopefully you'll enjoy it as the stories pick up. I do have to admit that I continue to struggle with the Swedish names and places since they're so foreign to me.
