Have you ever had one of those desperate kind of days? The one where every last whine and fuss out of your kids wants to send you running for the hills?
Last week, I had one of those days. Little Pea, sweet though she is, can shred my very last nerve with her whining some days. It was late in the afternoon, she was fed, napped, dry, I had no idea what else to do with her but she just wasn't happy. In a sheer moment of desperation, I grabbed the bubbles mixture that the Peanut had just been using outside and blew a bunch of bubbles–right there in my kitchen.
It shocked all three of us. The Peanut was so excited that we could now blow bubbles in the house. No, no we cannot. Little Pea was perplexed as to what on Earth was floating all around her. As for me, I was shocked by my impulsivity. This is just not something I'd normally do.
The smiles and giggles we all got from it was worth wiping down the floor afterwards. And you know what? There weren't even any marks or residue leftover. Not that I'd recommend trying it at home, but Gymboree really does sell the world's most awesome bubbles. I'm just saying.
