Little Pea had her baptism on Sunday and it was a wonderful day spent with family and friends. There are so many things I'd like to remember about her special day but when you are caught up visiting with those who joined us for the big event it is easy to feel overwhelmed and lose track of the details.
Once the day was over, I thought of a dozen pictures I wish I would have taken but sometimes I need to accept that it is ok to just live in and enjoy the moment while my camera takes a breather. I have all the documentation I need of our special guests and our precious baby in her white gown.
But that being said, I'm glad I took just a few minutes on the advice from a friend and snagged this tiny detail from the day.
There is just something quiet and sweet about this picture that seems to capture the whole day for me and it only took a minute to take it. No wrangling a crowd for a big group shot involved.
What kind of details define your special moments? Give yourself a minute to find them next time you are celebrating something important.
