I'm working on a very overdue baby gift at a frantic pace this week. My first attempt at this gift was fraught with too many beginner's mistakes for me to feel comfortable giving it away as a memento. Having learned from these stumbles, take 2 involves a replica of the pattern using a different collection of fabric. 

It is still a work in progress, but I'm amazed at the difference in appearance by just swapping the fabric. When I've put the final touches on it, I want to post a side-by-side comparison.
