I agreed with many of my commenters that the birdie mural would look just perfect above Little Pea's crib. I just couldn't bring myself to spend the $60 on it no matter how perfect it would have been. I've been looking and looking for something I liked even half as much for a fraction of the cost and have failed miserably until this weekend.
Isn't it the case that when you're actually looking for one thing you'll successfully find something else altogether? I took the Peanut on a short shopping trip to look for more photo props for Little Pea's next portrait. I didn't find the throw I had in mind, but I did stumble across a perfect frugal fix for the wall above her crib!
These flowers are just the right colors for her room and fill this space so nicely. I finally feel like her nursery is complete. Such a relief to not be staring at that blank wall any longer! The best part is the set cost a grand total of $12. There were two sets of the flowers inside the package, so while one hangs above the crib, the second set will soon be gracing the walls of the playroom downstairs. Problem solved.

Very cute! And at $12 for two sets? Couldn't be more perfect 🙂
