10 on 10: March, 10 moments of gratitude

It took 2 months for my husband to be able to be featured in my 10 on 10 project. We were thrilled to finally have him home for the first time since January 1. So while this month's project may not be thrilling to many viewers, it is a sight for sore eyes for my girls and me.

By the end of the day, I realized the theme for my March project is: 10 moments not to be taken for granted!

8 a.m. Morning hugs: My daughter sees my husband for the first time in 2 weeks and for the first time in his own bed in two months.

9 a.m. Daddy's shoes in the doorway: My youngest discovers daddy's shoes and take them for a test run. She's obsessed with putting on everyone else's shoes and hasn't had a chance at these in a long time.

10 a.m. Quiet breakfast alone: You'd think I'd want to be home with my family but this is my first bit of freedom in ages. Mommy morning out to walk at my favorite botanic gardens and get some fresh air. Alone. When it's quiet. Heaven.

11:00 a.m. Peaceful driving: I take the scenic route home and enjoy the quiet of my car. I don't even listen to music.

12:00 p.m. Someone else feeding the girls!: This might be one of my favorites. Toddlers are relentless when it comes to food. You may not notice it until you're the one solely responsible for planning, shopping for, cooking, feeding, and cleaning up after 3 meals plus snacks a day. To walk in and see him handling this moment alone was fantastic.

1:00 p.m. Pre-nap Pile On: Both kids + the dog pile on daddy. No one is giving this poor man any room to breathe today.

2:00 p.m. Lightbulb Man!: We joke that we live in half darkness when he's gone too long. All the lightbulbs I can't reach tend to burn out during these trips. Kills me that he's kneeling and still able to switch the bulb.

3:00 p.m. Quiet snuggles: Tim has missed his dog just as much as the girls and me.

4:00 p.m. Photographer's Assistant: I actually have a much prettier photo for this time slot but I can't reveal it until the 20th. You'll just have to come back. I tackle a really tricky photography assignment in my "studio" with my handsome assistant. Seriously could NOT have completed it without his extra pair of hands. He's so good natured with this request.

5:00 p.m. Kitchen Helpers: This trio is unloading the dishwasher and cooking a frozen pizza so mommy can go get ready for Date Night before the babysitter arrives. I planned to get a picture of our night out on the town, but honestly nothing trumps these guys pitching in! Any other mommy's agree??

I'm so grateful to have these run of the mill everyday photos featuring my husband! How was your March project? Please leave a link to your set in the comments so I'm sure to see your work!
